Admission to the second major in financial engineering is by application only. The application period will close May 15. Notifications regarding acceptance will be communicated over the summer. Applications will be accepted from current sophomores, juniors, and seniors, space permitting. First-year students must wait and apply during the sophomore spring.
Prior to applying for admission to the 2nd major you should have completed the following courses. If you haven't been able to meet these course requirements, please mention as part of your application essay when you plan to complete them.
- Calculus 1 (Math 131)
- Calculus 2 (Math 132)
- Calculus 3 (Math 233)
- Statistics (QBA 121 or ESE 326 or MATH 439 or ECON 413)
- Microeconomics (MEC 290 or Econ 4011)
- Accounting (ACCT 2610)
- Introduction to Computer Science (CSE 131)
- Capital Markets and Financial Management (Fin 340)
