Students may apply for admission and be registered as a Student not candidate for degree (SNCD).
This status is particularly intended for those in industry who wish to take one or more courses for continued professional development, but are not seeking a graduate degree. This status is also used for applicants showing promise but not fully satisfying admission requirements. Only nine units taken while the student is SNCD can be counted toward any M.S. degree in the School of Engineering & Applied Science.
