The Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering experienced tremendous growth between 2010 and 2014 in the number of degrees awarded. The 154 students earning ESE degrees in 2014 were more numerous than those of any other Department in the School of Engineering. This increase is a gain of more than 280% when compared to the 54 awarded from 2010. The number of undergraduate degrees awarded almost quadrupled over the four year period, increasing to 89 from 23, and the number of Master’s degrees awarded also saw noticeable gains, increasing to 57 from 23. The number of PhD degrees awarded is also expected to grow in the coming years due to the recent hiring of faculty members. At this milestone, the Electrical and Systems Engineering Department would like to wish all of its graduates the best of luck with their graduate studies or post-graduate careers.
