Justin Ruths, a graduate student in the Department of Electrical & Systems Engineering and Assistant Professor Jr-Shin Li co-authored a Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) paper on developing a universal computational method for optimal pulse design in quantum control.
 
In collaboration with researchers from Harvard Medical School, the new computational method has been implemented to significantly enhance sensitivity in protein NMR spectroscopy.
